Indra's Net, Inc. is staunchly committed to protecting the privacy of our customers, our Web visitors, and the entire Internet community. The purpose of this document is to educate our customers and Web visitors about the kinds of information we may collect from them, and how that information is stored and used. We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise divulge any such information to third parties except as disclosed below.Web Site Visitors
Visitors to www.indra.com are logged by their domain name and time of visit for the purpose of generating usage statistics reports. Indra's Net uses these logs internally to generate reports to analyze traffic trends, troubleshoot site anomalies, and improve content. These reports do not include nor attempt to include any personally-identifiable information and are stored in a Web-inaccessible location for a limited period of time. Indra's Net does not employ cookies on its Web site. In some instances on the site, visitors may have the opportunity to voluntarily fill in an online form in order to request information or submit a query. This information is used to contact the submitter regarding the subject and in the manner specified and is protected under all sections of this policy.Indra's Net Customers
Indra's Net provides Internet access, Web development and hosting, and related services. For those to whom we provide these services, collection of additional information is necessary to facilitate service installation and maintenance, communication, and billing. This information is generally limited to name, address, phone number, account name (email address), and billing information (such as credit card number). Associated with each customer account name, Indra's Net also stores additional data such as online usage, payment history, service requests, and other information which is necessary to provide reliable service and accurate billing. This information is stored on a firewalled system in a secured physical location behind a series of locked doors with a 24-hour monitored security alarm system. Indra's Net customers have the ability to review their contact, billing, and usage information via our secure Web server, which adheres to industry-standard secure Web encryption protocols. This secure server is accessible only if connecting from the indra.com domain, and will require customers to supply their username and password. Any customer may also choose an alternative method of reviewing and/or changing this information by contacting us in another way, such as via telephone. Customers who pay recurring monthly charges with a credit card also receive a monthly notification of charges sent to them via email; however the credit card number is not included in the message, with the exception of the last four digits for identification purposes.Information Privacy
Indra's Net does not (and has never) provided any third parties with our customer list for any commercial or other uses. Additionally, we take increasingly strident precautions to prevent outside parties from sureptitiously sending unwanted advertising (spam) to our customers' email addresses. In our good-faith attempt to collect a debt owed to us for services rendered, Indra's Net may, in its discretion, submit an overdue account (including contact information) to its authorized collection agency for the sole purpose of collecting any outstanding balance. Finally, while Indra's Net is firmly committed to online privacy and rights of the Internet community, we also recognize our responsibility to their health and well-being. To that end, Indra's Net will assist authorized law enforcement agencies in criminal investigations as allowed under the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 and the USA Patriot Act. In the case of civil suits, Indra's Net will review any subpoenas to ensure to the best of our ability that they are legal, valid requests for information. If so, we will attempt to notify the person or organization the information is being requested on before responding to the subpoena. All Indra's Net employees have read and have received training regarding adherence to this policy, as well as other internal procedural documentation regarding the protection of information.
